Leaders in Transformers for Solar Energy in Colombia
At Tesla Transformadores, we firmly believe that Colombia’s energy future lies in clean, renewable sources. That is why we have taken a leading role in the country’s energy transition, supplying specialized transformers for the largest solar energy projects in the country.
Our transformers are designed to maximize efficiency and ensure optimal performance in the most demanding photovoltaic systems.
Tesla Transformadores Present in the Country’s Main Solar Farms
Our equipment is part of the critical infrastructure that powers large solar farms in Colombia, supporting the generation of clean and sustainable energy in key regions such as:
- Casanare
- Villanueva Aguazul
- Valle del Cauca
- Tecno Sur
- Jamundí
- Cialt II
- Palmira
This commitment reaffirms our leadership in the sector of transformers for large-scale solar projects.
Specialized technology for photovoltaic systems
Our high-efficiency transformers for solar energy are designed with technical specifications that meet the needs of the photovoltaic sector. Among our most notable models are:
- Special Double Secondary Oil Transformers
Designed to withstand demanding operating conditions, they offer reliability and consistent performance:
4000 kVA K4 Factor – 36/1.1-1.1 kV Series: equipped with accessories such as a voltage-free tap changer, Buchholz relay, oil level indicator with contacts, thermometers, silica gel dehumidifier, and electrostatic screen.
4500 kVA – 36/1.1-1.1 kV Series: with similar features, adapted for high energy demand in solar farms.
2. Conventional Transformer with Expansion Tank
Ideal for systems that require monitoring and safe operation:
- 1500 kVA – 36/1.2 kV Series: includes oil thermometer, winding thermometer, pressure relief valve, Buchholz relay, and dehumidifier.
Pedestal and Open Dry Type Photovoltaic Transformers
Innovation is also present in our pedestal transformers and open dry transformers, both essential for the efficiency of modern solar installations:
- High-efficiency pedestal type (up to 4 MVA): low core and winding losses, with 1 or 2 low-voltage secondaries. Available in 15 and 34.5 kV.
- Open dry type (up to 4 MVA): same efficiency and configuration characteristics as the pedestal type, ideal for controlled or indoor environments.
Both models allow bidirectional operation:
- Reducer mode (HV/LV): power supply from the grid when there is no solar generation.
- Elevator mode (LV/HV): energy injection into the grid during photovoltaic production.
Our Commitment to Clean and Sustainable Energy
Solar farms continue to expand in Colombia, and at Tesla Transformadores we remain steadfast in our purpose: to promote the use of clean energy with reliable, durable equipment adapted to the challenges of the energy transition.
We are the technological ally of solar developers seeking quality, technical support, and customized solutions.
